NO PLACE TO REST

Where do you go when you have nowhere left to go—and everywhere you stop tells you to leave?

No Place to Rest is a powerful feature drama that takes audiences inside a side of homelessness rarely seen on screen: men, women, families, veterans, and working people struggling to survive while living in their vehicles.

Marcus Reed never imagined his life would come down to counting his last few dollars between gasoline, food, and laundry—or searching every night for a parking space where he can simply close his eyes without being told to move.

Along the way, Marcus crosses paths with Tasha and her young daughter Maya, Ray, a veteran carrying wounds that never fully healed, and Lena, a former nurse facing struggles of her own. Together, they become an unlikely family, bound not by blood but by hunger, exhaustion, fear, compassion, and the determination to hold on to their dignity.

But everywhere they turn, the message seems the same:

Not here.
Not tonight.
Move along.

Empty parking lots remain empty. Churches preach compassion behind doors that close at night. Assistance programs collide with rules, waiting lists, and red tape. And city policies designed to move homelessness out of sight leave people with one devastating question:

If we can't stay here… where are we supposed to go?

When Marcus's struggle reaches the halls of city government, Pastor Thomas Daniels is forced to confront an uncomfortable question of his own: What does faith mean if compassion ends at the church door?

Set against Fort Smith, Arkansas, and Roland, Oklahoma, No Place to Rest is more than a story about homelessness. It is a story about faith, dignity, friendship, survival, and the human need to know that we still matter—even when the world has stopped seeing us.

It challenges audiences to look beyond the word homeless and see the person sitting behind the steering wheel.

Because sometimes a parking space isn't just a parking space.

Sometimes it's the only place someone has left to call home.
